Baby Update!!!

Hello Everyone...

First want to say thank you to everyone for their tremendous support in dealing with the loss of Eric...without your love and support we would not be able to try to get through this difficult time.

Some positive news....from me and Mandy.......ITS A BOY!!!!!!! (Due August 25th)

We are excited and looking forward to it...and going to try to use Eric's middle name as the middle name...(James) so looking for a good first name...any suggestions???

Hi Everyone! Kara lost her first tooth last Friday. In the picture I've included, she did her own makeup and hair. I haven't decided if I'm proud or disturbed:) Must also include a very adorable picture of Em. She's learning to pose from her big sis!! Love to all!

Mandy is pregnant....4 months...due date is August 25th...

We are going to find out on March 20th is its a boy or a girl...

Hi! I'm In Sunny Florida!

I arrived in Florida yesterday. Aunt Suzy and Uncle Wes were at the airport to meet me. I cried when I saw my sister. I need to spend time with her. Aunt Suzy and Uncle Chuckie couldn't make me feel more at home than I do. We had dinner at Wes and Sue's last night. Skipp and Peg were there, too. It was a great reunion and dinner was delicious! There is nothing like family. I miss all my family back home. Wish we could all be here together. Ken, Kristen, Shelley, Corey, Don, Zach, Kara-me, Emily and Alex - I LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!! But my week here will fly by. Hope not too fast. Have a great day, everyone!!

My favorite memory of Uncle Harpy is of him walking his imaginary dog down the street in New Jersey. We had a great time on that vacation. Brings a smile to my face.

Photos that warm the heart

I loved your photos, Aunt Barbara. Of particular interest to me was the photo of Uncle Harpy! I often think of him, and this photo warmed my heart :) Can't you just hear him singing, "There's a hole in the bottom of the sea...." by his backyard fireplace. What a guy!

Alex has been home seven months and look how healthy and happy he is. Although, I really do have a hard time trying to keep up with him. I'll be glad when Papa is home to jump in there.

Zach is busy playing his Wii and, of course, collecting every Star Wars figure and Lego set there is. He is in the third grade and doing great. We won't mention that he cut his hair last week. That is a story within itself!

Kara is seven and in the first grade. She is doing great scholastically and socially. It is so much fun to watch her experience new things. Her Mom has just taken on her Daisy Group and Kara is loving that. She was a cheerleader for Pop Warner last season. Yes, another Ra Ra, like her Aunt Shell was years ago. Hard to believe we have been watching her grow into such a wonderful little girl for six years now. We have been loving every minute of it!

Yeah Kiki!

I'm so glad to have another post from one of my favorite nieces. Sam is having a great adventure. Four months in Spain. The only thing to bring her back to our area is her family after living in Spain! I'm so glad Sam and Adam were able to share some of their experience with Karen and their grandparents. Only In America! as my Dad would say. Have a great day, everyone. And thanks for sharing, Kiki.

Way Back When . . . . .

Sam in Madrid

I am heeding Aunt Barbara's call for postings. The only "news" I can share is that Samantha is spending the semester in Madrid. It is off to a great start - she is staying with a sweet older couple who are housing 5 additional (female) students; the house is in the heart of Madrid so she is enjoying being close to the action and her university; the classes are challenging (not the "blow off" classes one might hope for) but interesting; and she has made many friends in addition to those from her US college, Chapman University, that are also studying in the city. She had a fun time visiting France for two days with Adam, Karen and her grandparents. Scott and I were so jealous but happy that they all had such a great trip and that Sammy got to see family since she'll be gone for (gulp) 4 months. And let's face it, Sam and Adam have fun in Clifton Park so they totally enjoyed taking France by storm. While Sam enjoys her studies and the European life Scott and I count the days until she returns. I miss IMing and calling her every day (I sound like a hovering parent but I'm not) as the time change makes it tough to match our schedules, but it is working out better every week. So, Sammy is off on a great adventure :) I hope all is well with each of you and that you are enjoying the increased hours of sunlight as the days grow longer. It's Already Changed!

I knew it wouldn't take me long. I didn't like the other layout. This is so much more pleasing to the eye!! It is also a test of the time change. PS - time change worked. I know, I should get a life!
